Questions
How long is a karate kumite match?
Three minutes for seniors under WKF rules.
Is the clock stopped during the bout?
In competition the clock stops on the referee's call. This timer runs continuously, which is what a training round wants — pause it by hand if you need to.
Can I use it for kata practice?
Yes. Set a short round and use it as a rotation clock.
Ask your coach to put this on the gym TV. It is free, it works on anything with a browser, and it runs on its own once it is up.
Gyms that want their own name, logo and colors on it instead of ours pay $99 once — no subscription, no per-screen fee. How that works →
